The Cunene (Portuguese spelling) or Kunene (common Namibian spelling) flows from the Angola highlands south to the border of Namibia, it’s one of the few perennial rivers in the region, 1050km long with a drainage basin 106,560 square kilometres in the area. – How’s that for taking you back to your Grade 5 Geography class!
